The Role:
 
1to1 Group are working in partnership with a homeless charity that supports adults and young people. We are helping to recruit relief workers to support the young people with the next steps in their lives.
 
Responsibilities:
·Provide practical and emotional support to young people experiencing homelessness, including advice on housing, employment, and welfare benefits.
·Help clients develop life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and self-care, to promote independence.
·Provide crisis intervention and safeguarding support for Young People
·Support clients with budgeting, managing finances, and addressing debt or benefit issues.
·Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.
·Conduct regular visits to clients in shelters, hostels, or other accommodation settings.
·Facilitate access to education, training, and employment opportunities for long-term stability.
 
Requirements:
·Experience working with young people
·Understanding of safeguarding
·Knowledge of housing and welfare legislation
·Crisis management
·Problem-solving skills
·Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts
