Homeless Support Worker
0830-1430 Monday to Friday
Southampton
£11.54ph
Enhanced Adult and Children’s DBS, either on the update service or issued within the last 3 months is desired.
We have an exciting new opportunity available for a Homeless Recovery Worker in Southampton.
This role would suit someone who has experience dealing with challenging behaviours and situations. You will need to be resilient, confident and hard working to thrive in this position.
 
We are looking for someone who can commit to 5 days a week ongoing.
 
Your Responsibilities:
·Support people experiencing homelessness.
·Create and implement achievable support plans based on their needs.
·Performing welfare checks when required.
·Encourage personal growth in education, training, employment, or volunteering.
·Teach practical life skills like budgeting, cooking, and hygiene.
·Maintain safety within the facility, handle incidents, and contact external services when needed.
·Offer basic First Aid assistance (training provided).
·Adhoc administrative tasks when required.
Desired Qualifications:
·Experience in supporting individuals with mental health or substance misuse.
·Possession of a valid UK driver’s license and access to a car.
