DEPUTY SERVICE MANAGER- COMMUNITY- DOMESTIC ABUSE- PORTSMOUTH
£31,046 – £35,482 PER ANNUM
1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

1to1 Group are working in partnership with an innovative and unique provider of all services to those affected by domestic abuse.

Key Purpose of the role:
·To manage services that provide support, advice and assistance to adults and their children affected by domestic abuse and are staying in refuge/safe space and ensure that they are provided with secure, high quality accommodation. To be able to work therapeutically within a communal living dynamic.
·To provide support to develop and maintain a high-quality professional service. To support and enable clients with practical and emotional support including financial, legal, social, emotional, parenting, housing and further education through an outcome focussed support planning process.
·To manage and provide a high-quality and pro-active front-line service to victims of domestic abuse; delivering a pathway of care focusing on support, safety and protection and be responsible for the day to day management of all aspects of services.
·To take responsibility for the continuing professional development of self.
·To establish effective working relationships with colleagues in other services including education, Social Services, the local authority, police and voluntary agencies, assisting to increase their understanding of domestic violence issues taking and making referrals and acting in an advocacy role for children and young people as necessary.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years direct experience of providing emotional and practical support to those affected by domestic abuse
Demonstrable experience of supporting individuals within the context of a helping environment
Awareness of the legal and housing issues affecting families escaping domestic violence and knowledge of the benefits system
Strong crisis management skills and ability to deal with stressful
